Learner support

Our Learner Support Program aims to empower students by providing them with essential skills and support to overcome challenges and achieve academic success. Through a series of motivational talks, model lessons, and interactive activities, we strive to inspire and equip students with the necessary tools to excel in their learning journey.

Motivational Talks:

Motivational talks are conducted for Grade 6 and Grade 7 students, addressing the importance of intrinsic motivation despite personal challenges and the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 lockdown. During these interactive sessions, students are encouraged to visualize their future goals and aspirations. Tips and strategies are shared to inspire and motivate students, emphasizing the transformative power of education in breaking the cycle of poverty.

Study Skills Talk:

To help students prepare for upcoming end-of-year assessments, a study skills talk is organized for Grade 7 students. Students are provided with valuable tips and advice on effective study skills, including note-taking strategies, graphic illustrations, and question-answer relationships. The session aims to enhance their study techniques and improve their performance in assessments.

Model Lessons:

English model lessons are conducted for Grade 3, Grade 6, and Grade 7 students, focusing on different aspects of language and literacy development. In Grade 3, students engage in interactive activities to improve their reading skills, using visual clues, phonics, and decoding strategies. Grade 6 students learn how to recall and sequence events in a story through the use of storyboards, enhancing their comprehension skills. Grade 7 students develop descriptive writing skills by using graphic illustrations, mind maps, and sensory details to create engaging essays.

Home Language Model Lesson:

A dedicated model lesson is conducted for Grade 6 students, specifically focusing on applying the language skills studied in English to their home language. Students learn to identify and recall past, present, and future tenses using clue words and actions. By practicing these skills in their home language, students enhance their understanding of grammar and language usage.

Life Skills Model Lesson:

Grade 5 students participate in a life skills model lesson that focuses on non-verbal communication and emotional expression. Through interactive activities, such as analyzing facial expressions and using emojis, students develop their ability to identify and communicate emotions effectively. Strategies for coping with emotions and dealing with life’s challenges are discussed, empowering students to navigate both academic and personal situations.

Our Learner Support Program is dedicated to empowering students by providing them with valuable skills, strategies, and support to excel in their academic journey.
